After Shoulder Surgery you will be fitted with a sling. Patients who have
Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair surgery will be required to wear a sling for 6 to 8 weeks following surgery. Patients undergoing
Total Shoulder Replacement or
Reverse Total Shoulder Replacement surgery will be required to wear their sling for 4 to 6 weeks postoperatively. Those patients undergoing
Arthroscopic Bankart Repair or
Arthroscopic Latarjet Surgery will be required to wear a sling for 6 weeks after surgery.
Following an
Arthroscopic Acromiopalsty or after
Arthroscopic Excision of Calcium or following an
Arthroscopic Excision of AC joint the sling only needs to worn for a day or two and after these procedures the bolster can be removed from the sling if that is more comfortable.
This video shows how to fit your sling correctly and comfortably.
