Videos

Videos for patients on preparing for surgery, caring for yourself afterwards, and recovering through rehabilitation. Each video now sits on its procedure page.

These videos are made for patients. They show what an operation actually does, and the practical things that are hard to describe in writing: fitting a sling, showering with one arm, getting a shirt on, looking after a dressing.

Each video sits on the page for the procedure it relates to, next to the recovery timeframes and the risks, so you see it in context. Find your procedure below.

Rotator cuff, bursa and impingement

Instability and labral surgery

Joint replacement

Frozen shoulder

AC and sternoclavicular joint

Biceps and tendon surgery

Fractures, bone and nerve surgery

Rehabilitation and practical care

Understanding your shoulder

Before you start the exercise videos. Not every exercise suits every operation, and some are unsafe in the early weeks because they can put a repair at risk. Follow the programme your own physiotherapist has given you, and ask them if you are unsure which exercises apply to you or at what stage.

If you cannot find what you are looking for, or you are not sure which procedure you are having, please call the rooms on (07) 3063 5500 rather than guessing.
