Talk to us

Our rooms are looked after by a small team who know every patient on the list. If you are not sure whether you need an appointment, or you want to know what a consultation involves before you book, please call. Nobody minds the question.

If you have had surgery and something does not feel right, call the rooms during business hours. Outside those hours, contact St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital on 07 3834 4444, or go to your nearest emergency department if it is urgent.

Booking an appointment

You will need a current referral from your GP or another specialist to claim the Medicare rebate. Bring your referral, your scans and reports, your Medicare card and your private health details.

Consultation and fees

Travelling to Brisbane

Patients come to the clinic from across Queensland and interstate. A Telehealth appointment first often saves a trip, and there are hotels and apartments a few minutes’ walk from the hospital.

Parking

Spring Hill

Street parking around the hospital is restricted and heavily patrolled, so it is worth using one of the car parks below. Allow a little extra time on your first visit.

Main hospital car park

Entry via North Street. The car park reads your licence plate, so there is no paper ticket. Pay at the station on Level 3 beside the cafe with cash or card, or pay by card on the way out. Make sure you know your plate number.

Secure Parking, St Andrew’s Place

Entry via North Street, next to the hospital.

Getting here

Train

Roma Street Station is the closest, about a fifteen minute walk uphill to the hospital. If the hill is a problem, get off at Central Station instead and take the bus below.

Coming from the airport, the Airtrain runs to Central Station.

Bus

The free City Spring Hill Loop runs from stop 141 on Edward Street, near Central Station, and stops at the hospital.

Taxi and rideshare

There are two free courtesy phones to taxi companies at the main hospital entrance, which is useful if you are going home in a sling and would rather not stand on the street.

Getting to Level 7

Enter through the main hospital entrance on Wickham Terrace and follow the signs to the Specialist Suites in the Yellow Block. Take the lift to Level 7 and look for Suite 7.5.
