I had the chance to do a practice run with Stryker’s Mako robot on Friday morning! Right now, only the knee package is available, so I practiced a unicompartmental knee replacement. The closest procedure to the shoulder replacement package, which is set to launch in August.
Once the shoulder package is available, I’ll be using the Mako robot for many of my shoulder replacements with Stryker’s Tornier shoulder replacement prosthesis.
A big thank you to Anthony Silva from Wesley for assisting me with the unicompartmental knee replacement.
Looking forward to what’s next with the Mako robot!
