In his role as Queensland Chairman of the Australian Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons (ASOS) Dr Cutbush, along with members of the Council of Procedural Specialists (COPS), met with the Federal Health Minister, Greg Hunt at Parliament House in June 2017. Following their meeting with the health minister the delegation met with the Shadow Federal Health Minister, Catherine King.
