With Paul Favorito from Cincinnati and David Weinstein from New York. (Richard Page in the background) We had some great discussions this weekend at the Johnson & Johnson Challenging Shoulder Symposium in Sydney.
Paul, David and I had a very interesting session yesterday discussing Latarjet stabilisation surgery for unstable shoulders. There was a lot of discussion regarding the advantages of arthroscopic vs open approaches and the indications for the latarjet procedure. It appears that the indications for the latarjet procedure are extending with many surgeons seeing the latarjet operation as appropriate for even small glenoid bone loss if they are contact athletes.
