At the most recent annual general meeting of the Queensland branch of the Australian Orthopaedic Association Dr Cutbush was elected scientific secretary. Among the duties of the scientific secretary is responsibility for overseeing the weekly lecture programme for the orthopaedic trainee surgeons and responsibility for organising the annual scientific meeting. The position runs from September 2015 for two years.
