Dr Cutbush spent the afternoon with Gilles Walch at his home in Lyon. There can be nothing more rewarding for a shoulder surgeon than to spend the afternoon with one of the truly great shoulder surgeons getting his advice on how best to treat the patients that depend on you to make the right decisions.
Gilles, me and the Tornier, Blueprint planning software. Yes, surgeons are nerds.........
Is this how you do it Gilles? Dr Cutbush spent the afternoon discussing difficult shoulder cases including that of a patient with a type C dysplastic glenoid and bilateral shoulder arthritis and planning successful shoulder replacement surgery; a case of a patient with complex shoulder instability who had undergone mulitple previous surgical operations; a revision shoulder arthroplasty case; as well as reviewing together the appropriate indications for anatomical and reverse shoulder arthroplasty replacement surgery.
With Gilles Walch, the maestro, outside his home in Lyon, France. A man with intelligence and personality that you can’t help but notice overpowers any room. Great times always have to come to an end.....
