Associate Professor Cutbush was invited as faculty to present at the Australian Orthopaedic Association Annual Scientific Meeting held in Cairns in October 2016. He presented two talks "How to Prevent Infection in Total Joint Arthroplasty" and "My technique for Acromioclavicular Joint Reconstruction: When and How I do it."In the first talk he discussed how important it is for orthopaedic surgeons to take every step possible to prevent a prosthetic joint infection. Prosthetic joint infection currently has a higher 5 year mortality rate than that of breast cancer, melanoma or non hodgkins lymphoma.In the second presentation Dr Cutbush presented his all arthroscopic technique for reconstruction of acute aromioclavicular joint disolcations. Dr Cutbush has preiously published this technique in the international medical journal, Arthroscopy Techniques.
